Pressure-Volume Techniques & Analysis Training Course: Prague, April 18 - 19

Pressure-Volume Techniques & Analysis Training Course: Prague, April 18 - 19

New to pressure-volume techniques? Gain skills and confidence using the preferred method for cardiac cycle assessment in intact hearts at our two-day Pressure-Volume training course in Prague this April.

At the end of this training course you will be able to:
• Successfully install and maintain a pressure-volume system
• Calibrate Mikro-Tip pressure-volume catheters
• Position catheters within the heart for optimal data recording
• Configure LabChart software settings for accurate pressure and volume recording
• Generate PV loops, and extract relevant haemodynamic parameters from your recording
ADInstruments application support scientists will be joined by a panel of experienced pressure-volume researchers, including our host, IKEM's Dr Vojtech Melenovsk, and Dr. Peter Pokreisz from Leuven University, Belgium.
Training participants will gain experience using Millar Instruments MPVS Ultra systems and catheters with PowerLab data acquisition systems (including LabChart software and the PV Loop Module for data recording and analysis).

Course Agenda
• "Hemodynamic Analysis in Mice" Lecture by Dr. Peter Pokreisz, Leuven University, Belgium
• MPVS Ultrahardware and control software tutorial
• PV data recording training
• Surgical demonstrations
