How to become our patient?

Although most of our patients are Czech nationals, international patients are welcome in the Department of Cardiology, IKEM. The number of these patients is increasing each year, since they seek for special treatments such as catheter-based procedures. We can offer any type of catheter ablation, coronary or non-coronary vascular intervention, implantation of device and advanced treatment of heart failure.

Details about payment for our services will be discussed on an individual basis, depending on type of treatment. Technically, there are two ways how to pay. One is to be a self-payer - in that case you will get pro forma invoice with estimated cost and you are supposed to make and advanced payment of 90 % of this sum by bank transfer before the admission. The other is to obtain permission from your health insurance company that it would accept to pay your treatment. Such confirmation letter has to be achieved before the admission.
